About the Role
As an On-Call Emergency Management Specialist, you will assist in servicing clients nationwide, supporting emergency management agencies in preparedness tasks such as training, exercise, and planning. Your responsibilities will include developing emergency management plans, conducting training programs, analyzing data for operational recommendations, and supporting project management functions. This position requires travel as needed for client projects.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 7+ years of experience, including 1+ years of emergency management experience.
- Completion of IS 100, 200, 700, and 800.
- Broad knowledge of Emergency Management principles, methods, and techniques.
- Ability to travel to client sites as project warrants.
Preferred:
- Completion of FEMA Emergency Management Institute Independent Study - Professional Development Series.
- State Emergency Management Certifications if applicable.
- Completion of Introduction to Emergency Management Planning (G-235 or IS-235).
- Broad knowledge of the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and related frameworks.
- Completion of E/L/K- 146 Homeland Security Exercise Evaluation Program.
