About the Role
As an On-Call Home Health Aid, you will work under the supervision of a licensed nurse, providing compassionate care to clients in their homes. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities, monitoring clients' conditions, and ensuring their safety. You will be required to respond to calls and accept shifts during on-call weekends, as well as prepare and serve meals, assist with personal care, and maintain client confidentiality.
About You
Required:
- Must be a Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) or Personal Care Aide (PCA).
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
- Ability to work with all clients, including smokers and households with pets.
- Availability from Friday 5:00 PM to Monday 8:00 AM on alternate weekends.
Preferred:
- Successful completion of an NYS DOH-approved Home Health Aide & Personal Care Aide training program.
- Experience in a similar role.
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English sufficiently to understand and interpret care plans.
