ICF is seeking an On-Call Wildlife Biologist to join their team in Sacramento, CA. The role involves performing field surveys for special-status species and environmental compliance monitoring.
About the Role
As an On-Call Wildlife Biologist, you will conduct field surveys for special-status species, perform environmental compliance monitoring, evaluate project plans for potential impacts on biological resources, and prepare daily field notes summarizing your findings and compliance with environmental permits.
About You
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences, Environmental Science, or related field.
3+ years of experience with biological monitoring and field surveys in the San Joaquin Valley.
Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.
Preferred:
Experience conducting surveys for San Joaquin kit fox, kangaroo rats, and other listed species.
Nesting bird/raptor survey experience.
Experience with monitoring construction crews and overseeing environmental compliance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, GPS technology, and field data collection.
