About the Role
As an Opening/Daytime Lifeguard, you will maintain active surveillance of the pool area, respond to emergencies according to YMCA policies, and build positive relationships with members and participants. You will also perform equipment checks, chemical testing, and attend staff meetings and training sessions.
About You
Required:
- Minimum age of 16 for part-time lifeguard positions; minimum age 18 for full-time employment.
- Certifications: CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, Basic First Aid and Emergency Oxygen. Current YMCA Lifeguard or equivalent.
Preferred:
- Ability to maintain certification-level of physical and mental readiness.
- Demonstrated lifeguard skills in accordance with YMCA standards.
