Summary
FCC Environmental Services is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of their Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) in Houston, TX. The role involves leading all aspects of plant operations, including safety, production, maintenance, quality control, labor management, and regulatory compliance.
About the Role
As the Operations Manager, you will manage day-to-day operations of the MRF, ensuring operational targets are met regarding recovery rates and processing speed. You will lead and supervise a team, enforce safety standards, ensure compliance with regulations, oversee maintenance, assist with budgeting, and manage quality control processes.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in plant operations, preferably within recycling, waste management, or manufacturing environments.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of MRF operations and recycling industry practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with operational software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
Preferred:
- Experience managing a unionized or diverse workforce.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, if needed.
