Summary
Duke's is seeking an Operations Manager, Underground Infrastructure Services to join their team in Plymouth, MI. The role involves managing day-to-day operations and providing leadership for water/wastewater/stormwater projects.
About the Role
As an Operations Manager, you will oversee the management of field operations, ensuring safety and performance of crews, and maintaining company equipment. You will spend 60% of your time in the field and 40% in the office, coordinating with field superintendents and project managers to optimize resources and ensure compliance with safety and operational regulations.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business Management, or similar.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in underground pipeline infrastructure, construction, civil engineering, water/wastewater, or oil & gas industry.
- Minimum of 5 years of related operations and people management experience.
- Valid chauffer's license with a clean MVR.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
- Knowledge of financial and budgeting processes including EBITDA and cash-flow management.
- Knowledge of safety, OSHA, DOT, and local regulations.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal teams and external customers.
- Ability to lead and manage teams positively.
- Ability to communicate clearly in written and verbal forms.
- Experience writing business reports and operations procedure manuals.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time and work in various weather conditions.
Preferred:
- NASSCO certification.
- Project Management certification and experience.
- Knowledge of CDL/DOT driver regulations.
