About the Role
As an Ophthalmic Clinic Scribe, you will be responsible for documenting physician verbalizations during examinations, coding patient charts with ICD10 and CPT, assisting patients during exams, and ensuring effective communication between patients and staff. You will also maintain clinic flow and assist with Ophthalmic Technician duties as needed.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma required.
- At least 6 months experience in a medical office, preferably an ophthalmology office.
- Strong, professional interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to multi-task and strong organization with attention to detail.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Scribe certification (certified ophthalmic assistant).
- Fluency in English, bilingual preferred.
- Understanding of medical terminology and/or ophthalmic terminology.
