SB CLINICAL PRACTICE MANAGEMENT PLAN INC is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join their team in East Setauket, NY. The role involves supporting the Ophthalmology department and performing complex functions under the supervision of licensed medical practitioners.
About the Role
As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will be the first line of contact for patients in the exam room, responsible for obtaining baseline information, performing initial history taking, and conducting various tests such as visual acuity and ancillary testing. You will work closely with physicians to ensure accurate patient assessments and assist in various ophthalmic procedures.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum one (1) year of full-time experience working in an Ophthalmology practice.
- Full working knowledge and hands-on experience with Visual Fields, Corneal Topography, IOL, OCT, A/B Scans, Fundus and External Photography, and Manifest Refractions.
Preferred:
- Associates and/or Bachelor's degree.
- Additional years of experience working in an Ophthalmology multi-specialty practice.
- Experience working with Electronic Medical Records.
- Ophthalmic Certification.
