About the Role
As an Optical Technician, you will be responsible for dispensing and fitting glasses and contacts based on prescriptions from Optometrists and Ophthalmologists. Your daily tasks will include building relationships with patients, assisting in frame selection, operating lensometers, educating patients on lenses and coatings, collecting precise measurements, and dispensing orders while ensuring excellent customer service.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred:
- Previous medical office experience preferred; previous ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
- ABO and NCLE certifications preferred but not required.
