Trinity Health is seeking a full-time Orderly - Patient Transporter to join their team in Muskegon, MI, working evening shifts to assist surgery colleagues and physicians in providing professional, quality, and service-oriented care to patients and their families.
About the Role
The Orderly / Patient Transporter is responsible for performing patient transports, assisting with surgical room cleaning and turnover, preparing surgical procedures, handling sterile supplies, cleaning and maintaining transport equipment, transporting lab specimens and X-rays, assisting with patient positioning and preps, supporting PACU patient care needs, performing surgical light maintenance, preparing operating room admission packets, and monitoring sterile supplies and medical gases.
About You
Required:
- High school graduate.
- Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification or completion within probationary period.
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs.
Preferred:
- Completion of a Medical Assistant Program or equivalent education and/or experience.
- Prior patient care experience.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and sterile technique.
Benefits
- Full-time employment with 80 hours per pay period.
- 10-hour evening shifts from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM.
- Scheduled weekends and holidays in accordance with collective bargaining agreement (CBA).
