About the Role
As an Independent Medical Examiner, you will review medical records, interpret medical necessity, and provide advisory opinions on insurance appeals and claims. You will ensure compliance with client-specific policies and nationally recognized guidelines while maintaining proper credentialing and licenses. The role requires timely case returns and effective communication with clients.
About You
Required:
- Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery.
- Active NY medical license.
- Experience in completing Independent Medical Exams.
- New York State Workers' Comp certification.
Preferred:
- Experience in insurance appeals and claims review.
- Familiarity with evidence-based guidelines and standards of care.
