Florida Orthopaedic Institute is seeking an Orthopedic Technician to join their team in Temple Terrace, FL. The role involves measuring, fitting, and dispensing braces and splints, as well as placing casts as directed by the physician.
About the Role
As an Orthopedic Technician, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, applying and educating patients on durable medical equipment (DME) and bracing, documenting patient interactions in EMR systems, maintaining a clean and sanitary cast room, ensuring adequate supply inventory, and promoting teamwork within the department. You will also assist with patient flow and perform other duties as assigned to support the clinic's operations.
About You
Required:
Certified Athletic Trainer
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Computer proficiency: MS Word, Excel, EMR systems.
Preferred:
BS Degree preferred or higher
Minimum of 1 to 2 years in the medical field.
Ability to perform tasks independently with direction.
