Headlight is seeking a Part-time Outpatient Psychiatrist to join their team in San Diego, CA. The role involves transforming mental healthcare by providing direct patient care and supporting the Spravato Program in a hybrid work model.
About the Role
As a Part-time Outpatient Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for reviewing patients' medical histories, evaluating their emotional and mental states, identifying mental disorders, developing treatment plans, prescribing medications, and coordinating with healthcare professionals. You will work 2 to 3 days per week in the Carlsbad office, focusing on patient care while benefiting from administrative support.
About You
Required:
- Medical degree and completion of an approved psychiatric residency.
- Board Certification with The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).
- Full, unencumbered MD license in the state of practice.
- Active DEA registration in the state of prescribing.
- In-depth knowledge of psychotherapeutic methods.
- Excellent communication skills and strong observation skills.
- Ability to work in-office 2 to 3 days per week.
Preferred:
- Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, preferably NextGen.
- Strong computer literacy with proficiency in various software applications.
