Summary
Epworth Children's Home is seeking an Overnight Awake Family Care Specialist to join their team in Columbia, SC. The role involves monitoring clients in the Family Care Center to ensure a safe and secure environment during overnight hours.
About the Role
As an Overnight Awake Family Care Specialist, your primary duty will be to monitor clients to ensure they are sleeping and in their rooms. You will remain awake and attentive throughout the night, ensuring the environment is secure and clients' needs are met. Responsibilities include monitoring client progress, maintaining documentation, and applying the C.A.R.E. practice model along with Epworth policies and state regulations.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in human service field, or
- Two (2) years Associate Degree in Human Service field and two (2) years' experience in working with children or adolescents, or
- Significant life experience in working with children and adolescents.
Preferred:
- Demonstrated ability to use sound discretion and judgment in developing and implementing decisions.
- Experience in teamwork and a welcoming demeanor that is non-threatening to children.
