Summary
Sojourner Center is seeking a part-time Overnight Shelter Advocate to join their team in Phoenix, AZ. The role involves providing safety, support, and resources for individuals and families impacted by domestic violence and human trafficking.
About the Role
As an Overnight Shelter Advocate, you will engage with participants in one-on-one support, assist the Lead Case Manager with operational tasks, and help participants identify and address their needs by offering resources and education. You will also be responsible for providing transportation and appropriate resources, working Thursday to Saturday from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field; OR, Associates degree in a related field plus two (2) years of related experience; OR, High School Diploma plus four (4) years of related experience.
- Bilingual Spanish-English required.
- Ability to obtain a Level I Fingerprint Clearance Card, CPR, and First Aid certification.
- Valid Arizona Driver License and proof of automobile insurance.
Preferred:
- Experience in family violence programs.
