CLMI Group is seeking an Owner Authorized Representative (OAR) II to join their team in Los Angeles, CA. The role involves managing all facets of construction projects within the Los Angeles Unified School District.
About the Role
As an Owner Authorized Representative (OAR) II, you will oversee the pre-construction, bid and award, construction, and close-out phases of assigned projects. Your responsibilities include reviewing pre-construction documents, planning and organizing project reports, coordinating with public agencies, managing project budgets and schedules, and ensuring compliance with specifications and requirements. You will also handle contractor activities, negotiate change orders, monitor payments, and manage project close-out processes.
About You
Required:
Fifteen (15) years of full-time paid professional experience in Construction and/or Project and Construction Management of Commercial and/or Public/Educational Facility Construction.
Five (5) years of experience with full responsibility for coordinating complex projects with construction values of more than $20M.
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
Preferred:
Design Build Experience.
Experience utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM).
Experience with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified projects.
Experience with Division of the State Architect (DSA) construction/design processes.
Knowledge of Safety and OSHA Safety Regulations (OSHA 30 minimum).
