Summary
Astrix is seeking a Packaging Technician I to join their team in Athens, GA. The role involves labeling, inspecting, and packaging vaccine products while operating and maintaining packaging equipment.
About the Role
As a Packaging Technician I, you will be responsible for operating packaging equipment, inspecting products for quality, setting up and changing over equipment, troubleshooting basic equipment issues, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. You will also complete documentation following cGMP and SOP guidelines and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
- 2–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
Preferred:
- Forklift experience.
- Comfortable working overnight hours (10:30 PM – 7:00 AM).
