About the Role
As a Paraeducator, you will support special education students in one-on-one and small group settings under the supervision of certified teachers. Your responsibilities will include tutoring, assisting with instructional and behavioral programs, supervising students, and collaborating with teachers and staff to enhance the learning environment.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- AA degree, OR 48 college-level semester credits, OR pass the state approved paraeducator assessment test.
- Proficient in basic spelling, math, and grammar skills.
- Pass a criminal background check.
- Possess and maintain a Washington State driver's license.
Preferred:
- Experience in reading instruction, remediation, and assessment.
- Training in Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS).
- Ability to work with students with special emotional, academic, and social needs.
