Summary
Bethel School District is seeking a Paraeducator - Non-Mainstream Special Education ILC - SUPPORT to join their team in Spanaway, WA. The role involves providing 1:1 support to non-mainstreamed special education students in a self-contained classroom.
About the Role
As a Paraeducator, you will assist certificated staff with instructional and non-instructional activities, instruct students individually or in small groups, help with basic life skills, and supervise student behavior. You will also maintain records, communicate with staff about student progress, and ensure the safety and hygiene of students.
About You
Required:
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Hold a high school diploma or its equivalent.
- Successfully passed the ETS Para Pro test or Pearson Paraprofessional assessment, or have an AA degree or higher, or earned seventy-two (72) quarter credits or forty-eight (48) semester credits at an accredited institution.
Preferred:
- Experience working with school-age children and special needs students.
- Completion of the Fundamental Course of Studies (FCS) and General Paraeducator Certificate.
