About the Role
As a Paralegal - Trusts & Estates, you will be responsible for a full range of estate planning matters, including preparing Gift Tax Returns, Estate Tax Returns, and Fiduciary Income Tax Returns. You will maintain financial records of trusts, perform trust accounting, and manage probate administration. The role requires close personal contact with clients and financial advisors, meeting an annual billable hour requirement of 1500 hours, and developing technical proficiency in database management and electronic research.
About You
Required:
- Two-year degree required; Bachelor's degree or Paralegal certificate from ABA approved program preferred.
- 5 or more years of Trusts & Estates experience preferred.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred:
- Significant client case management experience.
- Familiarity with tax and trust accounting software (GEMS, BNA, ProSystems, EVP).
- Corporate and Real Estate experience.
