About the Role
As a Paralegal - Trusts & Estates, you will be responsible for a full range of estate planning matters, including preparing tax returns, maintaining financial records of trusts, performing trust accounting, and managing client cases. You will also draft probate pleadings, maintain close contact with clients and financial advisors, and ensure compliance with firm policies while meeting an annual billable hour requirement of 1500 hours.
About You
Required:
- Two-year degree required; Bachelor's degree or Paralegal certificate from ABA approved program preferred.
- 5 or more years of Trusts & Estates experience preferred.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred:
- Significant client case management experience.
- Familiarity with tax and trust accounting software (GEMS, BNA, ProSystems, EVP).
- Corporate and Real Estate experience.
