LA Century Law is seeking a Paralegal to join their growing team in Los Angeles, CA. The role involves assisting attorneys with various legal tasks, including preparation of discovery responses and filing litigation documents.
About the Role
As a Paralegal, you will assist attorneys with the preparation of responses to discovery, send out discovery requests, monitor compliance with discovery, assist with case investigations, prepare and serve litigation documents, file documents with state courts, and obtain necessary records through requests or subpoenas. You will also assist in drafting motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
About You
Required:
- Paralegal certificate or a minimum of six months experience in drafting discovery documents and responses.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and time management skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with Casepeer or FileVine.
- Familiarity with deadlines and processes for civil matters in State Court.
