About the Role
As a Paramedic, you will monitor patient conditions during transport, operate medical equipment, communicate with medical staff and dispatch, document patient care, and deliver emergency and critical care as per established protocols. You will also participate in the care plan for critically ill patients requiring transport.
About You
Required:
- High School diploma or GED.
- North Carolina EMT-Paramedic certification or National Equivalent with ability to obtain NC Paramedic within 30 days of hire.
- National Registry Paramedic certification required within 12 months of hire.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) provider certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) provider certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) provider certification.
- Trauma certification such as ITLS, PHTLS or TNCC.
- Three (3) years of Paramedic experience in a high volume ALS EMS service.
Preferred:
- Five (5) years' experience with a combination of EMS and Critical Care Transport experience.
- Professional certification such as CCEMT-P, FPC, or CCP-C required within 18 months of hire.
