About the Role
As a Paramedic, you will be responsible for determining the nature and extent of illness or injury, providing basic and advanced life support, driving emergency vehicles, completing required documentation, and maintaining equipment and inventory of supplies. You will also communicate effectively with all persons and departments involved in emergency medical care.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- PA certification as Paramedic or EMS Compact Privilege to Practice in Pennsylvania at the Paramedic level or licensed PA PHRN.
- Valid Driver's License.
- EMSVO within 30 days of hire.
- ACLS within 30 days of hire.
- ITLS/PHTLS within 2 months of hire.
- PALS within 30 days of hire.
- CPR – American Heart Association.
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
Preferred:
- Basic Vehicle Rescue Awareness, Haz-Mat Technician, ICS 100, 200 and IS 700, 800, ABLS and ASLS.
- One year experience (AHN EMS).
