About the Role
As a Paraprofessional - Special Education, you will provide support to special education teachers in the Resource Room, Extended Resource Room, Positive Behavior Intervention Program, Early Childhood Special Education Program, or Tuition Kindergarten program. Your responsibilities will include assisting with lesson plans, administering tests, helping students with assignments, and maintaining classroom order. You will work with students with diverse needs and may be required to perform substitute teaching duties in the absence of the teacher.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience with special needs children is preferred.
Preferred:
- 2 years of college credits or a college degree.
- Classroom or other instructional experience.
