About the Role
As a part-time faculty member in the Prison Education Program, you will be responsible for teaching a variety of guidance courses at Valley State Prison and California Correctional Women's Facility. Your duties will include maintaining student records, utilizing the Learning Management System for course delivery, and participating in curriculum development and assessment programs. You will also engage with students to ensure they understand course requirements and maintain regular contact.
About You
Required:
- Master's degree in counseling, rehabilitation counseling, clinical psychology, counseling psychology, guidance counseling, educational counseling, social work, career development, marriage and family therapy, or marriage, family and child counseling.
- Ability to promote and incorporate culturally affirming DEIA and anti-racist principles.
Preferred:
- Experience in the field of guidance counseling.
- Current technology skills related to teaching and a willingness to pursue future technological developments.
