About the Role
As a Part-time Paraeducator, you will assist in the educational development of students with autism, working under the supervision of a program supervisor. Your responsibilities will include supporting the instructional leader, helping students with their learning needs, and participating in staff development activities throughout the school year.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Hold a PA Paraeducator Credential of Competency Certificate or be willing to complete the online program within 6 months of hire.
- Completed a minimum of 48 post-secondary credits in any content area or have an associate degree or higher in any content area.
- Willing to complete 20 hours of staff development each school year.
Preferred:
- Certification in Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), Safe Crisis Management Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (SCM), or Quality Behavioral Solutions: Safety-Care Crisis Prevention (QBS).
- Experience working with students with special needs.
