Jobot is seeking a Partner - Private Equity Attorney to join their high-performing legal team in Cleveland, OH. The role involves leading and managing a broad spectrum of private equity transactions, including buyouts and fund formations.
About the Role
As a Partner - Private Equity Attorney, you will be responsible for advising on fund formation, managing relationships with investors and portfolio companies, and overseeing acquisitions and divestitures. You will also provide legal advice on corporate law and structure financing transactions.
About You
Required:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in private equity, M&A, and corporate finance.
- Proven track record as an Equity Partner, Income Partner, or Principal.
- Extensive experience with leveraged buyouts (LBOs), recapitalizations, and fund formations.
- Strong experience with acquisitions and divestitures.
Preferred:
- Solid understanding of LPA and private placement memorandum.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain a portable book of business.
- Deep knowledge of fundless sponsors and independent sponsors.
- Expertise in structuring and negotiating debt, equity, and mezzanine financing transactions.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
