About the Role
As a Passive Thermal Control Sys Thermal Analysis Engineer, you will be responsible for developing high-fidelity thermal models, performing steady-state and transient thermal analyses, evaluating thermal performance during various mission phases, and collaborating with design teams to optimize thermal control strategies. You will also participate in design reviews and document analysis results for internal stakeholders and NASA customers.
About You
Required:- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant engineering experience.
- Proven experience in the design, analysis, testing, certification, and operation of spacecraft Passive Thermal Control Systems (PTCS).
- Hands-on experience with thermal analysis software such as Thermal Desktop, COMSOL, or Ansys Fluent.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred:- Familiarity with JSC organizations, processes, and procedures.
- Experience with multilayer insulation (MLI), thermal blankets, surface coatings, and heat pipes.
- Familiarity with the full Engineering Life Cycle process.
