Camillus House is seeking a Pastoral Care Associate to join their team in Miami, FL. The role involves developing and sustaining a comprehensive pastoral care program to support the spiritual and emotional wellbeing of clients, staff, and volunteers.
About the Role
As a Pastoral Care Associate, you will support the Vice President of Mission and Integration by providing individual and group spiritual direction, coordinating liturgical and interfaith services, and offering compassionate presence to those experiencing trauma or end-of-life circumstances. You will also maintain documentation, assist with crisis support, and ensure that all activities reflect the mission and values of Camillus House.
About You
Required:
Cultural sensitivity to work effectively with diverse client populations.
Strong interpersonal skills to connect compassionately with individuals from varied backgrounds.
Proficiency in English; Spanish preferred.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
Demonstrated alignment with the mission and values of Camillus House.
Proficiency with computer applications such as Word and Excel.
Strong writing skills for documentation and reports.
Preferred:
Experience in leading groups, workshops, and spiritual programs.
Knowledge of additional languages such as Creole.
