About the Role
As a Pathologist Assistant, you will assist under the supervision of the pathologist in the selection, preparation, and dissection of surgical tissue sections for various examinations. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the accuracy of surgical specimen patient information, procuring fresh tissue samples for biorepository tissue banking, and performing maintenance of equipment necessary for gross anatomic dissection. You will also assist in preparing materials for teaching exercises and perform computer system functions for timely reporting of results.
About You
Required:
- Master's Degree from a NAACLS accredited institution as a Pathologists' assistant with clinical training in anatomic pathology, or U.S. or accredited Foreign Medical Graduate (MD) with or without ASCP-PA certification and 5+ years grossing experience, or Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences with 8-10 years experience as a PA.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.
