Summary
Amgen is seeking a Patient Access Liaison for UPLIZNA IgG4-RD in New York City. The role involves providing logistical and educational assistance to patients and caregivers regarding access to therapy.
About the Role
In this vital role, you will assist patients and caregivers with non-medical educational support, ensuring they understand the steps required to gain access to therapy. You will work closely with healthcare providers and internal teams to facilitate patient access to medications and financial resources, while maintaining strong relationships with patients and their families.
About You
Required:
- Doctorate degree and 2 years of patient services, and/or access and reimbursement experience, OR
- Master's degree and 4 years of patient services, and/or access and reimbursement experience, OR
- Bachelor's degree and 6 years of patient services, and/or access and reimbursement experience.
Preferred:
- Scientific background and ability to learn product and disease information.
- Nursing or other clinical background.
- Experience with access and reimbursement for buy and bill products.
- Experience in orphan or rare disease.
- Familiarity with HIPAA guidelines and FDA requirements.
- Ability to handle difficult patient cases and resolve hurdles.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
