About the Role
As a Patient Access Rep 1 ED, you will be responsible for greeting patients and family members in an Emergency Room setting, obtaining and verifying demographic, clinical, financial, and insurance information for patient registration. You will enter patient data into the accounting system, collect signatures, process physician orders, and conduct insurance eligibility verification. Additionally, you will provide escort and directional support to patients and enhance their experience during interactions.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills.
- Interpersonal skills to deal with internal and external customers.
Preferred:
- Associate’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One year of applicable experience in a healthcare provider or payer environment.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology.
