As a Patient Access Representative, you will be responsible for verifying insurance benefits, checking for pre-certification and authorization, performing medical necessity checks, and securing patient signatures for required forms. You will also coordinate services and communicate revenue cycle issues to patients and hospital staff, while rotating into various areas of patient access.
About You
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalency.
- Minimum one (1) year experience in insurance verification and medical office/hospital customer service.
- Must have Outpatient Registration experience.
- HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA required within one (1) year of hire.
Preferred:
- Associate degree.
