About the Role
As a Patient Access Services Rep I, you will be responsible for completing the pre-registration process by verifying insurance benefits and entering patient demographic and financial data accurately. You will also fulfill managed care requirements and coordinate referrals to appropriate personnel, ensuring compliance with various regulatory and legal requirements.
About You
Required:
- PC and Windows literacy required.
- Extensive knowledge of insurance/managed care including Medicare, Medicaid, and various managed care plans.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organize workload efficiently and type 40 wpm accurately.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of HBOC Series 2000 ADT/PA, Florida Shared System, Medifax, Microsoft Office applications, and Dr. Chart.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with CPT-4, HCPCS, ICD-9, and DRG coding.
- Previous data entry, programming, or office coordinator experience.
- Spanish bilingual highly desirable.
