Summary

About the Role
As a Patient Account Representative, you will support patients in understanding their co-payments, explanation of benefits (EOBs), and required documents for sliding fee scale eligibility. You will collect payments, assist with payment plans, and coordinate with billers for adjustments. The role requires traveling to various Variety Care sites as directed and supporting the organization's commitment to patient-centered care.
About You
Required:
- Bilingual (Fluent in English and Spanish).
- High school graduate or GED equivalent.
- Experience in patient registration, verification, and authorization in a medical center or comparable institution.
- Experience communicating effectively with patients and management to resolve claim or account issues.
- Expert critical thinking, analytics, problem-solving, and sound decision-making skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and practice management software systems.
Preferred:
- Working knowledge of CPT codes.
- Understanding of medical terminology and protocols as well as basic knowledge of coding and anatomy.
