About the Role
As a Patient Care Technician, you will be responsible for assisting patients with their basic needs, providing care on the Med-Surg/Rehab/ICU/ER unit, and maintaining knowledge of equipment and patient outcomes. You will work closely with medical staff to protect and advance the patients' best interests while demonstrating competency in your duties.
About You
Required:
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- One year clinical hospital experience OR completion of a nursing assistant (CNA, MA, AUA) training program or equivalent OR completion of one semester of clinical nursing courses in an accredited RN program.
- BLS healthcare certification required within 30 days of hire.
Preferred:
- Completion of two semesters of clinical nursing courses in an accredited RN program and competency in phlebotomy, order entry, and EKG/Dysrhythmia Interpretation.
- Experience as a Patient Care Tech II with formalized training in phlebotomy, order entry, and EKG/Dysrhythmia Interpretation.
