Summary
Emory Healthcare is seeking a Patient Care Technician / PCT for the LTACT 5th Floor in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area. The role involves performing patient care and observation duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse and/or LPN.
About the Role
As a Patient Care Technician, you will be responsible for various patient care tasks including cleaning patient rooms, operating clinical equipment, assisting with emergencies, and communicating with patients and families. You will maintain hospital competencies, promote a supportive environment, and comply with safety standards. Your duties will also include assisting in patient procedures, transporting specimens, and participating in performance improvement programs.
About You
Required:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- BLS certification required.
- One year of direct patient care experience, or successful completion of a nursing assistant training course, or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license through State of Georgia, or current enrollment in a nursing program with completion of 2 clinical rotations.
