About the Role
As a Patient Care Technician, you will provide direct care to patients, assist with non-direct patient care unit coordination, and perform basic nursing procedures for patients in stable condition. You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, assist in the care of acutely ill patients, and participate in quality and patient satisfaction initiatives. Your responsibilities will include documenting patient care, maintaining a clean environment, and performing various unit activities.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Limited or no experience, must be able to attend 2 weeks of training
- Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to perform basic mathematics
- Basic computer skills
- CPR certification from the American Heart Association
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
Preferred:
- Acute care experience within the last 3 years
- Currently enrolled in ASN or BSN program, with preference given to those who have completed at least one clinical rotation
