About the Role
As a Patient Care Technician, you will perform assigned duties and specified patient care activities, including bathing, mouth care, toileting assistance, and promoting patient comfort. You will also be responsible for specimen collection, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with post mortem care. The position requires adherence to hospital policies and procedures, and you will be expected to maintain good interpersonal relationships with patients and healthcare personnel.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience or job knowledge in a healthcare setting.
- Nursing aide training is required.
- Phlebotomy and glucometer experience or training is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
Preferred:
- Experience in a hospital or clinical environment.
- Ability to demonstrate understanding, patience, and tact in dealing with patients.
