About the Role
As a Patient Care Technician - ICU, you will be responsible for performing basic nursing procedures related to the care and comfort of patients in stable condition, assisting the RN in the care of acutely ill patients, and maintaining a clean and orderly environment. Your daily tasks will include documenting patient care in the electronic medical record, participating in quality and patient satisfaction initiatives, and performing various duties related to patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Limited or no experience; must be able to attend 2 weeks of training
- Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to perform basic mathematics
- Basic computer skills
- CPR certification from the American Heart Association
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
Preferred:
- Acute care experience within the last 3 years
- Currently enrolled in ASN or BSN program, with preference given to those who have completed at least one clinical rotation
