- High School diploma or GED.
- Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, or Patient Care Technician program, or equivalent medical background experience.
- Experience or certification in phlebotomy and EKG monitoring.
- At least one year of experience as a Patient Care Technician or Certified Nursing Assistant in a hospital setting.

The Johnson Rehabilitation Institute umbrella includes two additional rehabilitation hospitals: Johnson Rehabilitation Institute at Ocean Medical Center and Johnson Rehabilitation Institute at Riverview Medical Center. JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute has developed programs in specialties that include brain injury, stroke rehabilitation, orthopedics/musculoskeletal and sports injuries, cardiac rehabilitation, pediatrics and a prosthetics and orthotics lab.
