- High School diploma or GED.
- Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, or Patient Care Technician program, or equivalent medical background experience.
- Experience or certification in phlebotomy, EKG, vital signs, and blood sugar monitoring.
- At least one year of PCT or CNA experience in a hospital setting.

The Johnson Rehabilitation Institute umbrella includes two additional rehabilitation hospitals: Johnson Rehabilitation Institute at Ocean Medical Center and Johnson Rehabilitation Institute at Riverview Medical Center. Its mission is simple: provide quality rehabilitation for adults and children living with disabilities to obtain optimal function and independence within an accepting community. JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute has developed programs in specialties that include brain injury, stroke rehabilitation, orthopedics/musculoskeletal and sports injuries, cardiac rehabilitation, pediatrics and a prosthetics and orthotics lab.
