About the Role
As a Patient Care Technician, you will be responsible for delivering patient care based on physical, psychosocial, and safety criteria appropriate to the age of the patients. Your duties will include ongoing communication with patients and healthcare team members, preparing patients for assessments, obtaining clinical data, performing EKGs, and providing hygiene and comfort care. You will also assist with patient transport and participate in performance improvement activities.
About You
Required:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, or Patient Care Technician program, or equivalent medical background experience.
Preferred:
- AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification (must be obtained during the first 60 days of employment).
- Experience in a healthcare setting.
