DaVita Kidney Care is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join their team in Balch Springs, TX. The role involves providing compassionate care to patients in an outpatient dialysis center.
About the Role
As a Patient Care Technician (PCT), you will spend the majority of your day in direct one-on-one patient care, providing safe and hygienic dialysis treatment. You will monitor patients before, during, and after treatment, build long-term relationships with them, and educate them on kidney dialysis topics. You will work as part of a cross-functional team under the supervision of a registered nurse.
About You
Required:
- Desire to enter the health care field to care for other people in need.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be comfortable working around blood and needles.
- Physical and mental ability to work long hours on your feet.
Preferred:
- Health care experience including BONENT Certified, Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Phlebotomy certification.
