Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Delnor Cardiac/Telemetry Unit, working full-time nights in Geneva, IL. The role involves providing basic patient care under the supervision of an RN.

About the Role

As a Patient Care Technician, you will perform basic nursing care activities such as monitoring vital signs, assisting patients with personal care, and maintaining a clean environment. You will also report changes in patient conditions, manage unit workflow, and serve as a liaison between departments. The position requires working three 12-hour shifts per week, including weekends and holidays.

About You

Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Nursing students who have completed one clinical rotation.
Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, or nursing school students with one semester of clinical completed.
CPR – Basic Life Support.
Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and push/pull force up to 50 pounds.

Preferred:

Phlebotomy experience.
Graduate of an accredited Nursing Assistant program or Graduate of Phlebotomy course.
