About the Role
As a Patient Care Technician, you will perform treatments according to policy and procedure, provide patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity, and culture, and function appropriately in clinical emergencies. You will participate in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities, support quality standards and initiatives, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
About You
Required:
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Basic Life Support - CPR Certification (BLS).
- Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) or Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant (CPCT/A) or Emergency Medical Technician Certification (EMT).
Preferred:
- 1+ year of applicable Patient Care Technician experience.
- Previous bedside patient care in an acute care unit, unit secretary, monitor technician, or equivalent medical experience.
