DaVita Kidney Care is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join their Acute/Hospital Services team in Odessa, TX. The role involves providing direct patient care to individuals with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease.
About the Role
As a Patient Care Technician (PCT), you will spend the majority of your day in direct one-on-one patient care, providing safe and hygienic dialysis treatment. You will monitor patients before, during, and after treatment, including measuring and recording vital statistics, and setting up hemodialysis machines. You will work closely with a cross-functional team of clinicians and build long-term relationships with patients, educating them on kidney dialysis topics.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Desire to enter the health care field to care for others.
- Must be comfortable working around blood and needles.
- Physical and mental ability to work long hours on your feet.
Preferred:
- Health care experience including BONENT Certified, Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Phlebotomy certification.
- Willingness to train and work across multiple facilities.
