Summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Patient Care Technician-Telemetry for a full-time position in Palos Heights, IL. The role involves performing basic patient care activities under the supervision of an RN.

About the Role

As a Patient Care Technician, you will be responsible for monitoring vital signs, assisting patients with personal care, reporting changes in patient conditions, and maintaining a clean and orderly environment. You will also serve as a liaison between patient care units and other departments, manage unit workflow, and perform pre-census tasks as needed.

About You

Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Nursing students who have completed one clinical rotation.
Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, or nursing school students with one semester of clinical completed.
CPR – Basic Life Support.
Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and push/pull force up to 50 pounds.

Preferred:

Phlebotomy experience.
Graduate of an accredited Nursing Assistant program or Graduate of Phlebotomy course.
