Summary
Trinity Health is seeking a Patient Observer for the Emergency Department at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield, MA. The role involves providing continuous bedside observation to ensure the safety and comfort of patients.
About the Role
As a Patient Observer, you will maintain constant visual observation of assigned patients, document and report patient behaviors, assist with patient comfort needs, and support the Emergency Department with various tasks. You will interact with patients, families, and visitors in a respectful manner and perform additional duties as assigned by the Nurse Manager.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- CPR/BLS certification required (American Heart Association accepted; American Red Cross preferred).
- Completion of Assault Reduction Training required.
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.
Preferred:
- Prior experience in patient observation or healthcare setting preferred.
